The old website was outdated, and was built on a outdated technology. It doesn’t had any way of displaying their wood spoon products on the homepage of their website. The overall sitemap was confusing and was not in correct order. The typography didn’t has any use of type scale to generate systematic font scales. The colour scheme was not in rhythm with the website. Moreover, The website was not responsive. It wasn’t working nicely on various media devices like tablet and phone.
Since their old website was un-responsive and outdated, so we have had the challenge to create something fresh and unique to sell their wood spoons online. Firstly, we have done some Ux research and then based on the findings we have crafted a strategy to implement while re-designing the website. We have created a new sitemap for their website, and also re-imagined the sections on whole website. We have setup a design system for the website which made it easier to design it in a new and clean look. We have made it easier for customers to find new products and purchase them without any issue. We have used a new color scheme and a modern typography that has enhanced their website look to feel like a premium ecommerce website. Overall, the new website is easier to navigate, have a modern look and feel and is mobile responsive.
